Hello everyone. Let me tell you a story and ask for some advice. I am HR7 and I am crafting some new equipment. I am missing only one thing.
Just two simple vials of Elder Dragon Blood. HR7 Gathering Hall quests. I have killed two Teostras, Three Kushala Daoras, and Five Dah'ren Mohrans. On almost every hunt, I have demolished almost every break point. I've been playing on and off today, an in a few hours, I had completed those ten hunts, with no Elder Dragon Blood anywhere within sight.
Please, my fellow hunters, I beg of you, tell me the secret! Where is this magic elixer to be found?! For my sanity's sake, I beg of you, please tell me where I can find some of this stuff. I'm HR7, and have unlocked pretty much everything in caravan, save for the things which the wiki says I need to have G permits to unlock.
The difficulty of anything you may recommend me to do is not a problem at all, I will do anything and everything for these godforsaken bottles of blood. I beg of you all.TL;DR: HR7, got most of caravan, need elder dragon blood, have literally torn hair out looking, help plz.
The only non-G-Rank monster to drop Elder Dragon Blood on breaks is Dah'ren Morhan. It has between 10 and 15% to drop one on fin, leg and blowhole break.I wouldn't recommend it though because you have no further chance of it in quest rewards in Caravan, Dah'ren is a long fight and difficult to break.My solution in your situation would be to farm the caravan Kushala as you have 12% and 8% to get one in regular rewards (first and second row), as well as an additonnal 12% if you subquest.So you can either kill as many Kushala as you can for those 3 chances at looting Blood, or focus on its wings to end via subquest for a 12% of looting Blood. I'd recommend killing the Kushalas given the fact most of its weapons are very good and you'll need the materials the HR version gives to make the first few upgrades. But subquest would probably be faster if you absolutely want your Bloods. Note: the multiplayer HR7 Kushala quest gives the same rewards; if you can get a group running, it would probably be faster.Besides that the other solutions either require G-Rank or give you worse odds. Apart from event quests data which is not reliable, it has infos on droprate of every single item in the game, and data for monsters as well. It's a huge generalist MH database and basically my go-to when I'm lacking any item or fighting a monster I struggle with. It also has data for quests and questlines (although it lacks rank requirements for the later Caravan quests which is unfortunate), wyporium trades and associated quests unlocks, armor, weapons, everything. You want an item in the game, you just find it in Kiranico and from there you have all the info you need to get it.I use it all the time, check it out if you aren't familiar with it;).
